One of the best things about spring is that it’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather. And what better way to do that than to do some fun and easy DIY projects?
From getting your garden ready for spring to adding some color to your home with spring inspired art, there are plenty of projects to choose from. And the best part is that they’re all relatively easy to do, so you can enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done without spending hours working on it.
So, what are you waiting for? Get started on your spring DIY projects today!
First, I want to say, I’m making this list a personal challenge of mine, if you want to join and follow along, make sure you’re following me, rather on social media or this blog. I will post updates on each project as I complete it, and by summer, I’ll let you know what I completed, and what I did not.
Basically, this is a list of my Spring to do’s.
- Create Spring inspired/themed wall art. Some examples are: watercolors, acrylic, abstract, bright colors. I have already completed this one, but wanted to share my idea. Check out my work. I did both the one in my hand, and the one hanging behind me.
2. Next up, build a raised garden bed. I really want to do this one, I’ve got all this land, I need to use it. I am planning on cheating a bit, and buying a bed kit from Amazon.
3. Make a bird house/feeder. I’ve had this on my list for a while, as my mom used to have a Hummingbird feeder in front of her kitchen and I want the same.
4. Install a new mailbox. Well this one is kinda needed, the mail lady has me to replace it several times now, so here’s to hoping this is the year.
5. Build a firepit. I’ve already got a place picked out. They are nice at night.
6. Create a hanging herb garden. Another one that has been on my list for a while. Still holding out hope I get er done.
7. Install a ceiling fan or light fixture. This is another one I’ve already completed. My last ceiling fan was from the 70s, check out me putting the new one up.
8. Paint the kitchen cabinets a nice light shade. This list is reminding me of everything I need to do. I’ve had the cabinets with the doors off and ready for over a year, so let’s hope this is THE year I get em done.
9. Build a bookcase or storage shelf. I will admit, not high on my list, but I do need a new one in the spare bedroom for when I move my studio in there.
10. Create a new path in the garden. For this one, I’d be happy if my walkway was fixed, lol. It’s a half finished project right now, this time not my fault. I’m hoping to get the sidewalk, driveway, and garden walkways fixed. But a new stone one would be perfect for spring.
That’s my spring diy list for 2023. As mentioned above, I will posting my updates, and how to’s. Stay tuned, Spring is going to be so fun.
